Older than the Brochs are
the stone circles in the north of Scotland. Approximately 3000 years
before Christ this stone circle was constructed. The purpose is unknown.
The real prehistoric Eldorado starts not here on the Outer Hebrides, but on
the Orkney Islands. Several stone circles, innumerable hill graves and
a stone age settlement place even the famous 'Stonehenge' in South England
in the shade.
