The place of Geysir gave the name to all hot springs in the world. The original geysir isn't active anymore. But the hot spring Strokkur spies up a fountaine every five to eight minutes. The steaming lakes are over 100 degrees celsius hot. Unfortunately it is not possible to pack the scent of sulphur (trademark 'pure rotten eggs') into the panoramic picture. - Lucky you!
